Project 3: Reflections
This project made me experience what it might be like to work in the real world. I took the initiative by seeking out my artist and meeting the artist in person, which is almost similar to meeting a client. I took in their ideas of what their work is about and produced a gallery that i felt truly expresses the ideas that were given to me.
The artist talked about this fantasy world where anything is possible. Her ideas seemed like they were from a child's point of view, where there is no limits to imagination, which some adults have forgotten as age catches up with them.
I tried to encapsulate the idea of the fantasy world by allowing the person that enters this gallery to go on a journey, where there is the unknown at any corner, or a mythical beautiful courtyard that could be filled with creatures.
I enjoyed this project and gained a lot of experience not only from the work that i produced, but the work of other students in my studio that i had the privilege to listen to during the presentations.
